There are more meal delivery services now than ever. The staying at home forced on us by Covid-19 has given new popularity to the home meal delivery service. No longer an option, but a necessary addition to our everyday lifestyle.
We have really enjoyed our research, to say the least! We've found that there are different pros & cons for each, so you've got to decide where you prioritize quality, price, sustainability, variety & convenience. We'll give you the brakedown, so you can make the best choices for you & yours.
As with all our topics, we can't cover everything in just our blog, so stay tuned in for Thursday's PJ Wellness Show, our podcast at 7PM. You can sign up here. We'll be chatting about our 2 top picks here, & exploring much more about other meal delivery services then, so don't miss it!
First, check out how many people the plan serves, if it's got cut-off dates & option choices, & what type of commitment is required. That way, you can start weeding out companies that don't suit your needs. We've broken them down a bit, but feel free to do your own, tasty research! Also, many services offer specialized plans for diabetes, weight-loss, allergies,etc... We have just reviewed more generally appetizing plans here, without attention to specific dietary needs.
*Here's a tip: Don't be afraid to give your email & sign up. You'll get coupons & discounts, which will go a long way in trying out what you want, while keeping a reasonable lid on expenses. In addition, thinking it's too expensive becomes relative to nutrition & convenience, when you actually sit down & add up what you spend on groceries, take-out & restaurant dining. And eating at home is not only safer, but keeps you all connected & together.

TakeAway Tip: Honorable mention for a new company that just popped up. Although they are not a meal service per se, the concept of Imperfect Foods really hits the right notes for our time. Preventing waste, offering high-quality food at much lower prices, & dispelling the idea that less-than-perfect is not as delicious. Perfect!
